HOLY TRINITY PARISH WELCOMES SOON-TO-BE-ORDAINED
DEACON TIMOTHY D. SULLIVAN
Tim was born in Weymouth, raised in Braintree, and currently resides in Weymouth with his wife Joyce, son Timmy Jr., and his mother Joan. Tim is the second oldest of five children. He attended Braintree Public Schools and graduated from Braintree High School in 1976. Tim’s interest in education and music became a focal point in his life. Post High School he went on to earn a Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Elementary Education from Barrington College, a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Reading Education from Eastern Nazarene College, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (C.A.G.S.) in School Administration from Bridgewater State University, and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Leadership in Schooling from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Tim’s work in the field of education spanned 39 years. The first seven years
of his career were spent in Grades 5, 7, and 8 at Sacred Heart School in North Quincy. The next 32 years of his career were spent working in the Brockton Public Schools in both the Middle School and Elementary levels. In addition to his full-time job, he also worked part-time for the Massachusetts Migrant Education Program (MMEP) for 19 years starting out as a Teacher Aide and eventually becoming the Head Teacher (Principal) of the program.
In addition to his love of teaching Tim also enjoyed being an advocate for
both students and staff. This advocacy led him to become very involved in his local, state, and national unions. Tim served the unions in many capacities including President of the Brockton Education Association (BEA) and Vice President of the Massachusetts Teachers Association (MTA).
Tim’s love for music, in particular singing, was fostered throughout his years in the Braintree Public Schools. Due to the encouragement of his music teachers at all levels Tim developed a love and passion for singing that resulted in him becoming a cantor at local churches going back to 1978. Over the years Tim has served as a cantor at the following churches: Saint Thomas More (Braintree), Sacred Heart (Weymouth), Saint Francis of Assisi (Braintree), St. Clare (Braintree), St. Mary of the Assumption (Dedham), St. James (Stoughton), and St. Ann (Quincy). In fact, it was Tim’s work at Saint Mary of the Assumption (Dedham) that brought his wife Joyce into his life. Recently they celebrated their 26th Wedding Anniversary.
Tim retired in 2019 from his teaching career. Upon retirement he entered the Permanent Diaconate Program for the Archdiocese of Boston. The four-year program will culminate with his ordination on September 9th. Tim is very much looking forward to serving the parishioners of Holy Trinity Parish.

The Angelus
The Angel of the Lord declared to Mary:
And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of
our death. Amen.
Behold the handmaid of the Lord: Be it done unto me according to Thy word.
Hail Mary...
And the Word was made Flesh: And dwelt among us.
Hail Mary...
Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray:
Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord.
Amen

A Prayer to invite Jesus into your heart:
MAKING A SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
During this difficult time, if you are able, please consider your continued support of our parish.
If you wish to give online, there is an opportunity at the top menu of this website-EGIVING.

God bless you all and be assured of my continued prayers for you.

Be At Peace - prayer
Do not look forward in fear to the changes in life; rather look to them with full hope that as they arise, God, whose very own you are, will lead you safely through all things; and when you cannot stand it, God will carry you in His arms. Do not fear what may happen tomorrow; the same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you then and every day. He will either shield you from suffering, or will give unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations. Amen.
