Archdiocese of Boston Disciples in Mission
What is Disciples in Mission?
Disciples in Mission is the Pastoral Plan of the Archdiocese of Boston, promulgated by Cardinal Seán O’Malley in 2012 and based on the recommendations of the Pastoral Planning Commission. The mission of the Archdiocese is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Pastoral Planning is the process we use to make preparations to carry out that work. Pastoral Planning is a critical tool in helping us understand our task today and work together to manage the resources available to meet the needs of the people of God.
"The Pastoral Plan [Disciples in Mission] … seeks to revitalize the Church in Boston by positioning our parishes more solidly for the task of evangelization, the work of reaching out to our brothers and sisters and drawing them more fully to Christ Jesus." -DISCIPLES IN MISSION: A Pastoral Plan for the Archdiocese of Boston
Our vision statement: Holy Trinity Parish, nourished by the Eucharist, is alive and growing with faithful disciples, actively engaged in the sacramental life. People from Adams Shore, Germantown, Hough’s Neck, Merrymount and beyond find a spiritual anchor in the churches of the parish. Our parish is a welcoming, loving, warm, caring spiritual home where the joy of the Gospel is found and lived out.
