Message from Fr. Martin Dzengeleski

Dear friends in Christ,

If you are homebound or know someone who is and would like Holy Communion brought to them, or to receive the anointing of the sick, please call the office. 617-479-9200 I am happy to bring the sacraments to those in need. 

It is prudent to keep our pantries full and ready for the unexpected even in the best of times. In these days of inflation, supply chain issues and many other factors, it is even more important to keep our food pantries full as we prepare for : - only God knows.
Please God, all will be well, but should there be shortages, we will never regret being prepared. Canned goods and dry goods last a long time  and when properly rotated and used don't add any extra cost, in fact with food prices going up so much they are a good investment and will likely only go up in value. Extra drinking water is also wise to have on hand.  Most importantly is to have our spiritual house in order. Monthly confession, mass and rosary, family prayer, these will see us through tough times should they come upon us. When we do this, following St. Padre Pio's advice of "pray, hope, and don't worry" is much easier, when we know we have done our part, we can trust the Lord will see us through. - "Jesus I trust in you."

Consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary, is a great way to help cast off all fear and live in trust of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. 
Each Tuesday, we join our Holy Mother in prayer for our world at 6:30pm at Our Lady of Good Counsel Lower Church. Please join us! 

Daily Mass and rosary are also great faith practices. We have a holy hour  with Chaplet of Divine Mercy and Rosary Monday through Friday at 8am followed by Holy Mass at 9am. Please join us! The masses are livestreamed and can also be watched later during the day.

Medjugorje Messages:

December 25, 2022 - Monthly Message to Marija
 

"Dear children! Today I am carrying my Son Jesus to you, that you may be His peace and a reflection of clarity and joy of Heaven. Pray, little children, to be open to receive peace because many hearts are closed to the call of the light, which changes hearts. I am with you and am praying for you to open yourselves to receive the King of peace, Who fills your hearts with warmth and blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call."

This month, we are especially blessed to also share the annual message from Our Lady to Jakov Colo. At the last daily apparition to Jakov Colo on September 12th, 1998, Our Lady told him that henceforth he would have one apparition a year, every December 25th, on Christmas Day.

December 25, 2022 Annual Message to Jakov Colo

"Today, when the light of Jesus' birth is illuminating the entire world, in a special way, with Jesus in my arms, I am praying that every heart becomes a stable of Bethlehem, in which my Son will be born, so that your lives become a light of His birth. Little children, you live in peacelessness and fear. That is why, little children, today, on this day of grace, implore Jesus to strengthen your faith and to  become the ruler of your lives; because, my children,  only with Jesus in your lives will you not be looking at peacelessness but praying for peace and will live in peace; and you will not be looking at fear, but at Jesus Who frees us of all fears. I am your Mother who ceaselessly keeps vigil over you and I am blessing you with my Motherly blessing."

Here is the message that Our Lady of Medjugorje gave  October 25th 2022 through Marija:
“Dear children! The Most High permits me to be with you, and to be joy for you and the way in hope, because mankind has decided for death. That is why He sent me to keep instructing  you that without God you do not have a future. Little children,  be instruments of love for all those who have not come to know the God of love. Witness joyfully your faith and do not lose hope in a change of the human heart. I am with you and am blessing you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call. ”

Here is the message that Our Lady of Medjugorje gave  September 25th 2022 through Marija:
“Dear children! Pray that the Holy Spirit may enlighten you that you be joyful seekers of God and witnesses of love without bounds. I am with you, little children, and, anew, I am calling all of you: take courage and bear witness to the good works that God is doing in and through you. Be joyful in God. Do good to your neighbor so that it will be good for you on earth and pray for peace, which is threatened because Satan wants war and peacelessness. Thank you for having responded to my call. ”

August 25, 2022 through Marija:

“Dear children! God permits me to be with you and to lead you on the way of peace, so that through personal peace, you build peace in the world. I am with you and intercede for you before my Son Jesus, that He may give you a strong faith and hope in a better future, which I desire to build up with you. You be courageous and do not be afraid, because God is with you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (August 25, 2022)

Our Lady of Medjugorje  message: 
July 25th 2022 
“Dear children! I am with you to lead you on the way of conversion, because, little children, with your lives you can draw many souls closer to my Son. You be joyful witnesses of God's word and love, and with hope in the heart which conquers every evil. Forgive those who inflict evil on you, and go on the way of holiness. I am leading you to my Son, for Him to be the way, the truth and the life for you. Thank you for having responded to my call. ”

June 25, 2022 - Monthly Message to Marija
“Dear children I rejoice with you and thank you for every sacrifice and prayer which you have offered for my intentions. Little children, do not forget that you are important in my plan of salvation of mankind. Return to God and prayer that the Holy Spirit may work in you and through you. Little children, I am with you also in these days when Satan is fighting for war and hatred. Division is strong and evil is at work in man as never before. Thank you for having responded to my call. ”

"Dear children! I am listening to your cry and prayers for peace. For years, Satan has been fighting for war. That is why God sent me among you to guide you on the way of holiness, because humanity is at a crossroad. I am calling you to return to God and to God's Commandments that it may be good for you on earth, and that you may come out of this crisis into which you have entered because you are not listening to God who loves you and desires to save you and lead you to a new life.
