Father Martin Dzengeleski is our pastor at Holy Trinity Parish, now a Collaborative.
Father grew up in Braintree and attended the public school system there. His father’s garden got him interested in farming and getting a job during his high school years at the last two farms in Braintree before they were sold for development. After high school Father went to Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Following graduation Father Martin was the field foreman at Volante Farm in Needham for about 20 years until entering St. John’s Seminary college receiving a bachelor of arts in philosophy. His mother Lorraine passed to the Lord in Father Martin’s first year of study. After receiving his degree in philosophy he entered the graduate school of theology and received a masters degree. While a seminarian for eight years, he felt blessed to have several field education assignments including: Franciscan Children’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Metro West Medical Center- Framingham Hospital, Billerica House of Correction, and teaching religious education to children. Father Martin also served Immaculate Conception Parish Marlboro as a seminarian for several years, and as a transitional Deacon. After ordination he served at Holy Name Parish West Roxbury / Roslindale, St. Patrick Parish Watertown, and most recently at the Billerica Collaborative of St. Andrew, St. Mary and St. Theresa parishes.
Father Martin says “Priesthood has been a tremendous blessing for me and I can’t imagine a more fulfilling happier life than as a priest.” Father just celebrated his sixteenth year as a priest. (2023)
